The Beautiful Bourne - Smoked Trout & Half White Wine Platter

Named after one of the crystal clear tributories to the River avon, this platter makes the perfect treat for one and it's a great gift for someone that might be at home whilst others gather to enjoy a special occasion. Enjoy as a delicious starter, light lunch, supper or picnic. 

Our Smoked Trout products have a subtle, smokey flavour, the fish are hatched, reared and smoked on the banks of the crystal clear River Wylye in Wiltshire where the team combine fine cut slithers of cold smoked trout with home made terrine to create delicious and beautiful bite sized roulades. They also use a simple but closely guarded recipe to make the sumptuous Smørgel which, spooned generously onto crisp sourdough crackers make a 'to die for' treat.

This platter is accompanied by a half bottle of Les Hauts Pemions – Muscadet Sevre et Maine sur Lie 2020, plenty for one and the perfect match for this 'Trouty Treat'!

• Peter's Yard Sourdough Crackers provide the perfect accompaniment for this seafood pairing; each batch begins with a sourdough starter, fermented for 16 hours for a unique, subtle flavour. They have a dry, slightly nutty note and a satisfying crunch

• Les Hauts Pemions – Muscadet Sevre et Maine sur Lie 2020 (Half Bottle). This wine is chosen by the syndicate of Muscadet growers to represent the ‘Finest of Muscadet Sur Lie’. This example is clean, fruity, well balanced and finish with a lovely softness. It is crisp citrus on the nose, lemon and greengage with a minerally almost saline note. Fresh on the palate lovely lemony fruit with a hint of lime and peach, good acidity too.
